Project Evaluation (project planning/new projects)

The combination of strong fundamentals with financial and technical expertise allows ZE to undertake and provide comprehensive decision support services. The foundation for most financial evaluation in project planning must start with careful analysis of costs and reliability of systems which include:

Design, permits, construction, and maintenance costs
System capacity
Long-term contracts
Sustaining capital
Reliability (probability of failure + $ value of failure)

Based on thorough analysis of such data, ZE provides calculations of net present value, internal rate of return, value-at-risk for investment projects. In addition, ZE can provide standard analysis to assess the current financial position of a company and/or project to provide the groundwork for future decisions.

Asset Evaluation

With aging infrastructure, understanding the link between financial decisions and the assets’ physical performance is critical. Thus, optimization of maintenance plays a key role in enhancing system capacity and efficiency. Working closely with the client and senior engineers, ZE will develop value-at-risk simulation models based on probability of failure, financial losses upon failure (i.e. repair costs and legal liability issues), and the cost/benefit effect of maintenance. This modeling service results in better maintenance optimization and predictions of long-term effect.
